Our Mission
The Warrior Foundation fights child illness and provides mental health support for children and their family. The Warrior Foundation provides resources to children as they fight and recover from their disease.
OUR BEGINNING
The Warrior Foundation has been fighting childhood illness since 2021. We began our fight because the greater Rockford, IL area does not have the capability to provide specialty cancer care for children. This requires families to travel out of their local support network, to American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI or Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, IL for treatments. This adds a logistical and financial nightmare to a challenging situation. The Warrior Foundation seeks to raise awareness to these challenges and partner with children and their family's fight against cancer. The Warrior Foundation is a financial sponsorship project and funds donated or raised are provided to K-Cancer Baseball, a local non-profit who steps alongside these families with needed resources to offset costs associated with hotels, gas, travel, food, preparing the homes for newly diagnosed kids to be suitable for them to come home, helping around the holidays with gifts, and so much more!
